About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world with my own eyes, explore different cultures and break out of my anxiety, making friends all around the world. I want to make an impression on people.

ABOUT ME

Well.
To sum it up, I'm a very optimistic, happy-go-lucky and laid-back kind of person, very open-minded and very eager to learn about things that strike my fancy. I'm very shy, however, but once I'm comfortable with a certain person I begin to open up and become more outgoing. As shy as I mentioned I am, I do like to make friends. I have a boyfriend of two years, and he has been my best friend four to six years as well before even getting together as a couple. He continues to be my best friend as well as my boyfriend, and we plan on going on many adventures around the world together.

PHILOSOPHY

I have been brought up as a Christian my whole life. I've always believed that whatever makes you happy, you should stick to it and listen to anyone else who says otherwise. I may not be the most religious person in the world, and I really should change that. But I keep my religion very private, my relationship with God is between me and Him, and no one else.

I'm a completely non-judgmental person. I would never shame another human being for liking something or doing something that makes them happy. If it doesn't concern me, it doesn't concern me. Live your life the way you want to, believe what you want to, and do things the way you want to!
I live my life because it's the only life I have to live. I want to make a difference somehow, someway. Even if it's small.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet! I can't host, but if anyone is in the Central Massachusetts area, I'd love to meet up for a cup of coffee or tea or something and hang out!

Interests

I've been a very big gamer for over fifteen years. I will always love video games from childhood through adulthood. I love playing with makeup -- it is my way of being artsy, and it is almost therapeutic for me. I love being inspired by the colors of certain things that I love; for example, being inspired by certain colors in a video game, or the scene of a natural place. Which is one of many reasons I want to travel the world -- so many sights I want to incorporate into artistic forms. It sounds ridiculous, but makeup is so much more than just cosmetics to me. It's art.
As I've mentioned, I want to travel the world. I want to see it for myself instead of just seeing it in pictures. I want to visit the countries where my heritage hails from -- the first one is Ireland.
I'm American, Irish, French-Canadian, Scottish, Czechoslovakian and English. I'm very, very, very close to my Irish and Scottish heritage. I've been teaching myself both Irish and Scottish Gaelic just for pure enjoyment. My grandmother's mother on my mom's side is where the French is incorporated into the family (and my grandmother's grandparents came directly from Ireland, and various members on my father's side came from there as well), so my grandmother has been randomly speaking French to me since I was a little girl, so I have a little bit of an understanding on how to pronounce most of the language. I'm by no means fluent in anything except for English, however. For now! I'm still learning! As you can tell, my heritage is very important to me. I can never really explain how connected I feel to my Irish heritage.
I've always loved to sing, been doing it since I was a child, and I love to dance as well -- I danced for twelve years straight when I was young.
Among all of these things I love, I also love to cosplay my favorite characters from video games/shows/movies. It sounds lame, it really does, but I love doing it. I also have a deep love for music, and for all genres of music. Anything I can connect to, I like. And I LOVE to read.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have no designated "favorite" movie, but I love movies that cause me to laugh to the point of tears. I LOVE to laugh. One of my favorite actors is Jim Carrey -- my entire humor has been sculpted by watching his movies and his humor. Seriously. I'm also a big zombie fan. I don't like normal horror anything for that matter, but for some reason zombies are an exception. They don't bother me. I've even read the Zombie Survival Guide, so I'm prepared for any zombie apocalypse that ever somehow turns from fantasy to reality. ;p
I love every genre of music -- I'm very open-minded with that as well. I can go from listening to country at one point, to listening to acoustic, to electronic/dubstep tracks, to Irish/Scottish folk music.
I LOVE to read as well. If my nose isn't stuck into a game controller/handheld console, it's stuck in a book. My favorite books are the Hunger Games trilogy.
