Still shining flashlights into the dark corners of the rooms in my brain, but doing so in a most positive and constructive manner than in the past. I'd also really like to finish this grapefruit in front of me.
Sentient being in search of a good time with lovely people. That could be inclusive of nice conversation over coffee or drinks, beers in the park, long walks through beautiful urban residential neighbourhoods, museum visits, a good meal or a night out at a show or dancing. I'm an inclusive and respectful person and I value that in others as well. Not overly involved in the greater community, but I'm a gay guy who appreciates a well-organized queer event with fun attendees.
An appreciation for great music and film goes a long way for me, especially in terms of fuelling conversation. I'd love to know what you think of the new CHVRCHES album, or if you've ever seen Grimes live. Just two (woman in electronic music, taking over the world, etc.) artists I'm currently obsessed with. Other faves: LCD Soundsystem, Broken Social Scene, Feist, The National, Solange, Owen Pallett, Bjork. Also a total sucker for some Top 40. Ask me to sing Beyonce for you.
Accountability. To myself, to others, to the life I'm privileged and blessed enough to lead. And that can and does include treating myself to nice beer, okay?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CS and unable to host in Toronto (I live in a house with a few others and there simply isn't room), but absolutely available for meet-ups and to show you around. In fact, I'd love to.
Still working on that!
Music, film, art, new media and pop culture lover. I sing/play guitar and will play you a great number of super earnest acoustic covers of Top 40 pop songs. Most recently, I've taken to learning as many Taylor Swift songs as I can. News and current events bum me out, but I pay attention to as little as I can to still feel vaguely informed.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Bjooork. I like stoner-y indie rock, synthy-smoothy electronica and weird pop music.
Books: Recently loved The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
Movies: The Royal Tenenbaums, The Big Chill, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, HP 3-8,
TV: Six Feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men are formative for me. Currently digging Homeland, Bojack Horseman, Project Runway, The Left Overs. Somehow still watching The Walking Dead...
