CURRENT MISSION

We're two townies, Mainers, getting married this September and looking forward to sharing our beautiful state with people with a penchant for rocky coasts or the foothills and mountains of our area. We love to drive, so exploration is no problem!

ABOUT ME

We're simple, book-loving, travel-loving people who enjoy swimming, camping and having a good time. We like taking pictures, listening to live music and walking in the woods. We spend some summer evenings enjoying beer and baseball at our apartment and many others traveling around the state to be outdoors in a variety of areas.

PHILOSOPHY

We both generally espouse a philosophy which is to embrace life as it comes.

Growing up in two separate households, where no one ever locked the front door, we're interested in seeing our state and country become places where people view other people as neighbors, regardless of country/state of origin.

We have a wide range of book interest, including everything from local heroes (Stephen King, Edna St. Vincent Millay) to eclectic tastes developed after spending so much time at the bookstore. We'll be happy to let you browse through our books and maybe take one along for the road! I love to pass along a good book.
The same goes for our taste in music. We love discovering and sharing new bands. Lately, we've been digging The Mammals and The Duhks.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I took a cross country trip in 2005 that changed my outlook on travel and this country forever. I'll be more than happy to share stories and pictures with anyone who'll listen. We covered 29 states in 18 days (Maine to Seattle, to San Francisco, to Las Vegas, to Memphis, and back again), so there's plenty of story to tell.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

We can share an abundance of knowledge about our state, its people and what it has to offer the lifers (like us) and the casual visitors. We can off impromptu writing workshops in our living room, and we can show you local wildlife in the form of loons, moose and birds.

We're interested in hearing all about you. If you have an instrument, I'm (Aileen) a tone deaf music lover who would be content to listen to you play for hours.
