Life is for living not for working
Currently living in Japan where I have a part-time job teaching English. This leaves me with plenty of time to get outside. I love running and growing veggies in the garden.
Giving a shit about the world is important to me. I eat a vegan diet for my own health and because I don't want animals to suffer just so I can eat their dead bodies.
Becoming part of the Couch Surfing community is an awesome way to connect and build friendships with people all over the world.
As a species we have to do better. We live on a finite planet so "economic growth" cannot continue forever. Therefore we have to start managing our global resources more effectively. Growing food is one small actionable step I can personally take.
Another area where we have to raise our consciousness is in our treatment of non-human animals. We recognise today that racist and sexist behaviour are un-ethical. As I learned from Peter Singer, future generations will look back at us in our treatment of animals we kill for food and see us as barbaric.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to learn surfing etiquette from existing members.
I heard about Couch Surfing from an existing member. She made it sound like really good fun. So far I've had zero couch surfing experience.
Health, fitness, gardening, reading. If you stay at my apartment you can enjoy some vegan foods while you're here.
