About Me

To learn and to teach others how to spread their wings.

Needs more friends (but I think I have plenty, only really need a few good ones).

Learn, Love, Grow, but don't grow up. Seeing the world keeps us childlike, staying home keeps us childish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just signed up, hope to see more of Asia so I can retire there someday.

Still new to this!

Teaching aviation in Denver, flying in the bush in Alaska, each half of the month. Telling and hearing stories. Learning to laugh and hope all over again. Having a meaningful time. Leading a cranial-rectosis-free life! Must live in Asia again, somehow...

Music, Movies, and Books

I keep a top 10 list of movies that includes ones like Star Wars, Always, and a lot of foreign movies, the #1 favorite being Tampopo! It's about how to learn anything you want to learn, and it's a food movie that has purity toward it's subject matter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Dali Lama in Denver. A smile filled the stadium.

Driving across a high valley bridge listening to Fortune Presents Gifts by Dead Can Dance on a misty sunrise in S. Korea. I understood why its the Land of the Morning Calm and Korea has never left me.

Learned to fly...

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach aviation for a living, as well as spreading one's wings. Raised by philosopher/scientists. Love to cook as it's both art and science. Been working with computers since I was 6, but don't want that as a job so I can enjoy it. Making movies runs in the family, hope to write one someday.
