Creating connections with active, engaged people all around the world - and if you're a runner, even better!
I'm hopefully more interesting than these few lines make me seem. I'm a runner, a reader, a science geek, a person who enjoys great food, decent wine and witty repartee. A Scorpio, I am difficult but worth it; you can just ask my husband (and couchsurfing partner) of 20 years, Tom. I'm a world traveller and love nothing more than talking to people from other cities and countries and comparing notes. Despite my love of travel, I believe I live in the greatest city in the country - Portland, Oregon. We love to show off our town and the beauty that is all around us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've just started on this couch-surfing thing, so suggestions are appreciated!
Well, nothing official, but I have been on couches and beds from London to Macau. I love that it's an official thing to do now!
Marathons, travel, books, music, food and wine, hiking and camping, marshmallow peeps.
Music, Movies, and Books
Casablanca, anything with James Stewart or Johnny Depp. Books, too many to list but lately the Philip Pullman trilogy and the Company novels by Kage Baker. Music - all sorts, especially stuff with fiddles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one?! Well, the most recent would have to be the election of Barack Obama as president of my United States.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a perfect pie crust and how to run a marathon. Maybe you can help me with my pathetic Spanish, for a start.
