Music, Movies, and Books
It would take two days to name all the favourites...:).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Race with rainstorm in the middle of Sonora Desert, USA....After one-month backbacking from San Francisco down to the border of Mexico,(ca 6000km in wild areas) without any rain, we were hicked suddenly in mountains by thunderstorm....it was a record speed run to get to the car before the flood water blocked the roads. The famous dry desert looked in some places like a big lake :). Our host, leader and shaman of local native people, said that Estonians brought them a rain ...usually at that place one can see rain one or two time in a year...:)
Another surreal moment in deserts: First morning after arriving late night in little hostel campground in the middle of nowhere, in Mojave Desert (USA) we were waked up to enjoy the sunrise with the sounds of my favourite piece of Pink Floyd.... there were two old hippies abiding in the old truck next to our campground :)
And of course, Machu Picchu, Inti Raymi Sun celebration in Cuzco, Peru. Native civilizations and nature parks in USA ( Sequoias, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde,Pueblo Bonito, Arches etc...) Pyramids and ancient cities in Mexico, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Italy etc...And there is yet so many places to discover!
