About Me

One day at a time!

Professionally I've been in between worlds, researching and living different experiences, collecting cultural references and writing a bit about them, looking forward to establish a social project for schools in Brazil and also bootstrapping an international platform to support education worldwide. That's basically why I've been traveling for so long, visiting benchmarking to improve the projects, along with my negotiation skills with people that might be interested on support and sponsor this endeavor (ok, I'll be honest, this might be a lifetime work in progress.... my pitch is horrible!).

People say I'm an open-minded person, but I know I have my boundaries and for most of the topics I'm pretty much orthodox. Literally. For instance, when traveling, I'm such a boring person to eat with that please don't feel personally offended for me not joining your food and not sharing mine, as I follow a crazy diet and it's even crazier to keep it when traveling all over. I keep kosher, gluten free, organic, soy/garlic/onions/paprika/cumin-free, I'm "fishtarian" though and, if possible, sugar-free. I get very ill from my sensitivities and get food poisoned almost every time I decide to be flexible... so have made a personal vow on sticking to what I prepare/cook (I have the famous celiac disease, the real thing, got diagnosed on 2008 and since I've been traveling and super low budget, G'd forbid I can not get sick!). So basically food is one my top priorities in life, how to keep it proper... letting you know in case we meet so I don't need to lecture the topic for one hour or more =) And thank you in advance for your comprehension!

I like singing, visiting art galleries and museums, meeting new people, talking about international affairs, economy and urban development, and I love-love-loooooooooove children! I believe in the power of being well educated, that's my main mission and what moves me to be living the life I'm living now, including the leniency on the things I'm needing to tolerate nowadays!

I used to be also a very outdoorsy person; mountaineering, biking, canoeing and jogging were my favorite sports, but now a new time in my life, I naturally quit most of it. A night walk has keeping me up happy and alive! I need fresh air; air conditioning, to heat or to cool off, makes me sick!

I want to travel as much as I can until I have my own family to raise me roots and to receive all this love in priority. I appreciate the diversity; different places, people, cultures and knowledgeable tools that might be useful one day as I'm very settled in which ethics code to live for. I live miracles everyday, and I wish people could empty their hearts a little bit for the Truth, so naturally our world would be a better place.

"Oneness". What was, is and will always be.

As I was raised seeing too much unhappiness at the huge and global city I was living in, I started searching for new models of what people live for, as I do my best to live accordingly to the law of G'd but it's hard to share my happiness with people who don't want to live under His law too as we could not speak the same language, so I could not easily communicate. So before my life started to become unhappy as well by the contact with others when trying to understand how to approach their mindsets, I started this personal search of how to help others without getting hurt by that, and have been studying a lot since then... answering the question, all I know is that we are absolutely small no matter what we do, and that everybody needs true love, that kind of love that starts from within.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope I can contribute again as a host when I'm best settled somewhere in the world, and really hope to keep on meeting good people on this journey. Right now hosted by friends and new-friends, traveling since the end of 2009, when my stuff got all packed and in boxes. From that on I've been living within my suitcases and have a few storage boxes in some cities, where my stuff has "a cave" to call home.

I've hosted some people loooooong time ago, when I still had a place to call "mine". Usually when I'm traveling, even if for a short time in layover, I like to contact CS mates to have some good time together. I'm looking forward to make friends anywhere, as thank G'd I do really travel a lot, but specially in NYC, Israel and India, as it's been 5 years I'm back and forth in between Jerusalem-NYC (I want to make Aliyah eventually) and maybe I'll be back in India to stay there for at least one year. Right now in NYC, destination afterwards is undefined yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now trying to learn how to pitch projects decently, so getting an overload of books about self-help and business persuasion.... In general I enjoy reading about history, social and political sciences, technology and economics (well, I spent some years studying to become a diplomat... so you can picture the big mosaic of how I see the world!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

# I finished a half-marathon last year, getting ready for the long run now...
# The fact that it's been over 7 years I'm on a journey and meeting wonderful people and being supported and cared by G'd and His angels and messengers also amazes me on daily basis! =)

Other intriguing and interesting experiences in my life that I'm absolutely grateful for:
# Child's eyes saying "thank you" for something just learned. Priceless!
# Sunshine at the mountain after my first solo dawn in Outward Bound's expedition.
# My first volcano seen in Bromo Mountain, East Java-Indonesia.
# Stars. Wherever and however. I do love watching the stars, I can even hear them!
