About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning to live well.

ABOUT ME

heya! I'm Victor, from western Canada, travelled around a bit and living in Vancouver these days. I'm a bit of a traveller, and have hitch hiked fairly extensively around Europe and seen a few other places around the globe. I'm talkative, like to learn new things, I study Buddhism and I make websites to pay the bills. I've got a few things going and different goals, so come contribute and let's come up with some awesome dreams!

PHILOSOPHY

Moderation in everything, including moderation.

I get inspired easily, and it's one of the best things about having travellers around - to keep my borders and boundaries open and growing.

I'm very into intellectual conversations, knowledge, philosophy, etc.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Got no couch now -- just sorta travelling around. I sometimes host events, go to events, host, surf, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed with some great folks in Berlin once upon a time. Hit up a rad 'illegal party' (though the generator never worked) and just had a fantastic experience. I've been to lots of CS events in France - hiking, bars, pillow fights - and it's a great community. Lots of good events in otherwise lonely cities.

Interests

I'm into computers, music (guitar and songwriting), alternative methods of travelling (hitching, boats, etc), poetry, philosophy, getting exposed to new ideas. Also I dig art, drinking beer, hanging out on rooftops and walking around when Montreal is warm. I write a lot.

I like mountains, hiking, animals and plants as well.

Music, Movies & Books

Too wide to list here: Dostoevsky, Bradbury, cummings, Dr Suess; HItchhiker's Guide, Forrest Gump, 12 Angry Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Pulp Fiction; Bright Eyes, Matthew Good, Deltron, Samy Deluxe, Tegan & Sara, more and more from any genre you like. Open to media of all types!!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

walking into the caldera of Haleakala volcano.

Teach, Learn, Share

Web Design. Guitar. A few spanish recipes. Editing/writing/speaking English.

Countries I've Visited

China, Cuba, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I've Lived In

Canada, France
