About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding a niche, learing about other people/places and myself

ABOUT ME

I have travelled a lot in Latin America and have a degree in the language/culture of L. America, but I dont know enough about my own country... so this winter, instead of heading south, its coast to coast to coast along with my Bro.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am always having friends or travelers at my house. It has never been a set-up thing before... just whoever needs a place is welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am always surprised at the hospitality of Latin America, thinking that North Americans are always hating any "inconvenience". Its great to see so many people opening up their lives to strangers. I am really excited to see what happens.

Interests

Hiking, biking, surfing, hockey, rock climbing, playing guitar, reading, traveling, listening to old records... learning new things (Tree hugging and crunching granola are fun too!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Bob Dylan, Tragically Hip, Bedioun, Josh Ritter, Mason Jennings, Johnny Cash. As for books, my favorites would be the Narnia Cronicals, even though I dont read much fantasy anymore. I really loved Sunlight sketches of a small town by Stephen Leacock... by far the most amazing canadian author I've read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I ran the Victoria marathon. 42 kms of running and at the end they have the nerve to tell me to lift my foot onto a bench to take the microchip off my shoe... a virtually impossible task! Long, hard, painful, just dont do justice to a marathon

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got nunchuck skills. No, but I do know a very little bit about quite large number of things
