Music, Movies, and Books

Music is essential--I listen mostly to electronic instrumental or classical instrumental but I like everything. I have big dreams of playing the violin well. Right now it's still mostly mouse-talk (squeaky)!

As for movies, my absolute favorite right now is the documentary Meru. If you haven't seen it check it out. I love Girl on a Bridge, Between the Folds (a documentary about origami), Moonrise Kingdom (anything Wes Anderson really).

I love to read but I mostly do it through audiobooks. I prefer non-fiction but am not opposed to anything. If there are words on a page I will read it. Some of my favorites are Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Art of Learning by Joshua Waitzkin, Miracle in the Andes by Nando Parrado, Moonwalking with Einstein by Joshua Foer. I also liked Caravan by James Michener, it was the first book I read that transfixed me for hours and hours until I was suddenly done with it.
