About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Interested in meeting travelers and learning more about this community.

ABOUT ME

I'm 32. Former bartender, former cook, former IT Analyst, forever a-lot-of-things. Quit my job a few months back to take a sabbatical and that's been going nicely. Earned a few certifications and currently looking to get back into work.

When I'm not being a bum I drink with friends. Watch the Blues or Cardinals or both depending on the time of the year. Go to a trivia night here and there. Play kickball. Try to workout. Go for walks. And when I get bored I start coming up with new projects for myself to do.

PHILOSOPHY

Make the story of your life worth reading.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know yet. No immediate trips planned but I just finished remodeling the upstairs of my house so I was going to offer it up to travelers on occasion for now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I've stayed on friends' couches before in Chicago and Kansas City when I've visited them. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to score a guest bedroom.

Interests

All sorts of things. Learning something new as often as possible. I like drinking with friends. Experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. The outdoors (camping, hiking, biking, etc). I play kickball in a league with other adults. And it's friggin awesome! I'm into weird independent movies sometimes, trivia nights, computer hardware, and whatever project jumps into my mind each week.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sunset at Cafe Del Mar on Ibiza island was a practically religious experience. Everyone applauded when the last bit of sun dipped below the horizon as if they just watched a fireworks finale. I am incapable of accurately describing the experience in words. One has to see it for themselves. I recommend their mojito's there too. Fantastic.
