To move back to my favourite city in the world ... Berlin
What can I say about myself ... I think silent waters run deep sums it up perfectly. What you see is definitely not what you get, just remember that when you find yourself in a place or space you are having loads of fun but never thought of going to.
My hobies really define who I am ... so take a look below
"As a body everyone is single, as a soul never" (Hermann Hesse)- that's why I love traveling and meeting people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Due to limited space in the flat I live in, I am unable to host at present. But this will change in future and so will the couch availability.Until then, am happy to show anyone coming to London (and any future cities I am going to live) the sights not normally discovered by tourist. Day and night. So if you are up for it, just drop me an email.
Had my first couchsurfing experience in 2011 weeks ago and met some lovely people in the CZ Republic at the Rock for People festival. Let's keep meeting ...
Music (going to gigs, medic at them, festivals you name it) so a very big interest and most likely to lead to some surfing soon if I get the tickets I am after ;-)
outdoors (hiking, cycling, ice skating, swimming)
meeting new and old friends
travelling a lot when I can
reading from travel books to comics
going to the cinema and talking about movies
Knitting my own gloves and scarfs if I am not too lazy
- outdoor activities
Music, Movies, and Books
Not enought space here to list everything so just the most important ones to me will find there way here. However, I am pretty open to explore new avenues.Music: well from Rammstein to Beethoven with Enter Shikari in between. I like my music pretty loud and, as I am a crap dancer, to be able to jump or sit around.Movies: Not a chick flick person (unless it is something like Bridesmaids or on TV). I like my vampires, sci fi, suspense and much more. Can't wait for the Avengers and Prometheus to come out in 2012. That is if the Mayan's were incorrect ;-)Books: having worked for humanitarian organisations, I love my anthropological - political treatises. The best and saddest book ever 'We wish to inform you ...' by Gourevitch. Having also traveled a lot, I love books that encapsulate life in a different culture 'Wind, Sand, Stars', Shantaram and 'The Places Inbetween'. Dracula, American Psycho and WW Z are also staples as is Lord of the Rings.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working for a humanitarian aid agency in South Asia. I learnt that happiness is a state of mind. Independent of material things and a lifesaver during dark hours.
Teach, Learn, Share
I learned that if access to water, education and health care would be universally free the world would be a far better place.
I want to learn to work the fire baton(s) in 2012. So anyone who can teach me is especially welcome.
