Overview
About Me
A fun, friendly, laid back guy who loves a good conversation and the exploration of the unknown.
A lot of my traveling has been done on a bike. I've ridden across Montana, down the West Coast, and through Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana (which was soooo beautiful). Outside the US, I spent about two years in Australia and New Zealand.
The only thing better than campfires is campfires with friends, listening to music at the end of a long day outside. When I'm inside, I sometimes play around on the piano (but would love to learn more).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best thing about Couchsurfing is meeting amazing people, hearing their stories, and seeing their part of the world or serving as tour guide to show things that tours never visit. It's having friends in any country of the world. It's being part of an enormous community of kind, thoughtful, wonderful people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bike for a couple months, from Phoenix, AZ to New Orleans, LA. On a long trip you meet so many great everyday people who think you're crazy but in a good way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to share skills (teach or learn) on anything related to photography, cooking, computers, math, urban planning and design, transportation and environmental advocacy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
See answer to "teach/learn/share" question. Specifically, I'd love to teach people about programming or web design, share meals, share stories of adventures, and I have a pretty good eye for photos (some online at instagram.com/techieshark) which could hopefully come in handy at some point.
