ABOUT SURFING WITH ME
If you are sending me a request, please note that I am currently only able to accept guests who are staying for 1-2 nights. You will need to leave with me in the morning (I normally leave for work around 9:30) and come back to the apartment after I get home in the evening. I work a lot of nights so I am not always able to accept your request. I live with 4 roommates. You would be sleeping on a futon in my room. My apartment is LGBT friendly and we expect that you will be LGBT friendly.
My current mission is to travel, learn, and make art.
I am a traveler from Boston, where I currently live. I studied in Well, Limburg, Netherlands in 2012 and and traveled to many European cities while I was living there. In 2014, I went on a backpacking trip through Europe for 3 months with my good friend Danielle, including a 5 week stop in Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I am eager to travel more, and am hoping to back pack through Central/South America in 2016 or 2017.
Every day I try to learn new things, and first hand learning is the best way. I think that's why I like traveling so much. My favorite thing about traveling is meeting new people and learning about their culture and experiences, which is why I love couch surfing so much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am beginning to hosting in Boston, but I also participate by surfing!
Even if not hosting or surfing, I like to meet up with travelers in Boston and on my own journeys.
I work in theater management, which is what I studied in school. I like paper products, traveling, bikes, mailing letters, maps, cities, public transit, and people who spend more time laughing than not laughing. If I were a superhero, tortilla chips would be my kryptonite. I'm currently obsessed with documentary theater and info graphics. I buy notebooks at a rate that is far more rapid than the one at which I use them, and I try really hard to write a journal but keeping disciplined with that is hard.
Music, Movies, and Books
Social history, documentaries, The Lego Movie. My favorite book is Ender's Game but I read everything. I most recently enjoyed Devil in the White City about the Chicago World's Fair and a book about Boston's subway system.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing and powerful (but simple) things I have seen while traveling is the monument in Berlin for the books burned during World War 2.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden
Countries I’ve Lived In
