About Me

Hey! I’m Adam — I live in Sydney with my partner Terence and our deeply odd (but lovable) whippet-cross pup, Fred. I work in cybersecurity (making the internet slightly less terrifying), but outside of that, I’m all about connection, culture, and curiosity.

I’m a techie with a soft side — I grow veggies, cook elaborate vegetarian meals, and love deep chats about politics, philosophy, or whatever story your city has to tell. I’m a bit of a nudie at heart (clothes are a construct), and I’m into the kinds of walks that accidentally turn into 15km explorations of a new neighbourhood.

I love hosting, sharing, talking, eating, drinking wine and nerding out. Terence says I’m a terrible driver. He might be right.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To try new things, meet interesting people, and say yes to wild, weird, wonderful adventures.

I love chaotic chats, spontaneous detours, and connecting with people whose lives are nothing like mine. Couchsurfing is the best way to truly experience a place — through the people who live there. I think travel is one of the best ways to stretch your mind, your assumptions, and your sense of what’s possible.

Interests

I love cooking (vegetarian mostly), especially when paired with natural wine and stories

I’ve built a full home media server that I’m way too proud of

I could talk politics for hours, but I’ll always try to listen first

I’m happiest surrounded by trees or art or both

I love the feeling of not knowing where the day will go — and following that energy

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately on repeat: Fred again.., Obongjayar, Lime Cordiale, Serebii, HAIM, Men I Trust, Parcels, SAULT, and Young Franco.
I’m drawn to rich beats, dreamy vocals, and songs that make you feel something — whether it’s dancing barefoot at sunset or getting lost on a rainy city walk.
If it sounds a bit nostalgic, a bit emotional, or a bit weird — I’m into it.

🎬 Movies:
I love anything that blends emotion and imagination — Everything Everywhere All At Once, Call Me By Your Name, V for Vendetta... but also enjoy a good comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught ethical hacking to university students and watched their eyes light up when they realised they could break things but also be good folk too.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Vegetarian cooking, cybersecurity basics, how to set up your own home server.

Learn: Local language, recipes, weird customs, stories from your city or community, or just what you’re passionate about.

Share: Great conversation, a home-cooked meal, a playlist for your next adventure, and help around the house or with any tech woes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m respectful, tidy, curious, and great at bringing the vibes. I’ll cook, clean, swap stories, or help you fix your router. I love sharing meals, sipping wine, and having conversations that go far beyond small talk.

If Terence is travelling with me, expect warm chats, dry humour, and someone who will quietly judge my driving so you don’t have to.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, Fiji, France, Italy, New Zealand, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
