About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet cool people, listen to good new music, bike, blow all my money in europe travels before I head home to the states, LEARN! :D

ABOUT ME

I like meeting new people and feeling that connection. I'm a bit of a quite introvert but I usually get along most people and have fun. I'm on the goofy end of the spectrum.

Like lifting weights, biking, being fit, learning new sports. Now I like frisbee and capoeira. I did jiu jitsu a little bit before and would like to keep doing it.

Love hearing new music.

Like grabbing a casual drink, or sometimes a smoke.

Wanna go out there, and enjoy new places and things with interesting people.

6'2", 190 lbs (1.9m, 87kg). Slim, with Brown eyes & brown hair frizz.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm big into science and logic, but also (maybe irrationally) follow some of my Jewish traditions because I feel a connection to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Rome, I found out about a SICK Jamie Lidell concert at a cool local venue from couch surfers.

Also found out about the Ben Harper concert at Rome's Piazza del Polpolo through CS, and that was fun.

Most people I've met on here have been really cool.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always excited to see the new twists that modern artists throw out there, and I love the feeling of being inspired or moved by the music, whether its simple or complex.

Generally I like rock. Here's some recent and old favorite bands:
Fleet Foxes
Dirty Projectors
MGMT
Blind Melon
Spoon
Arctic Monkeys
The Raconteurs
My Morning Jacket
Phoenix
The Cat Empire
Sublime
(updates spring 09)

Love watching and TALKING about movies. (Ex: After watching "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," I felt the need to awkwardly explain why I thought Jason Segel really needed to show his junk in that movie, or at least the message I saw behind it). I really want to see "Gomorrah" after talking to people from Naples about it.

I'm a slow reader, but right now I'm reading "Snow," by Orhan Pamuk. I also like Chuck Palahniuk (Author of
"Fight Club") and Nick Hornby (Author of "High Fidelity")

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving

Some people think skydiving would be like floating, or flying, but that's not what it feels like at all. It feels like you're going fast as hell. You go out the door and just bullet through the clouds towards the earth.

Think about snowboarding (or skiing) where the steeper the hill, the less resistance, and the faster you go. In skydiving, you go as fast as you can possible ever go without an explosion behind you pushing you faster.
