About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do good for others

ABOUT ME

I am the guy whose photo appears next to "nomad" in the dictionary. I seek ways to contribute to the communities I visit in my travels. I have landed in a unique town full of unique people in a unique climate that is on the cusp of big change. I want to encourage you to visit Todos Santos so you can appreciate what a special place it is and figure out how you can contribute to both this community and the one from which you come.

PHILOSOPHY

A good return on an investment of 100 is 100 -- you put one hundred in and get some other hundred in return. Many of the challenges we face today owe to our efforts to squeeze 105 or 110 out of Earth when all she has to give is 100 -- and a fine 100 that is! Why always want more when you can simply have different?

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In addition to CouchSurfing, I participate in its mobile equivalent: finding RideShare folks online and building my own road trips around their needs. I haven't checked the latest exchange rate between mobile karma and shelter karma, but I think it's pretty close to par.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is motionless hitchhiking in a gentrified atmosphere, so really, what's not to love?

Interests

I like to move. Note the word "move" has many definitions and that's why I like the word so much: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/move

Music, Movies & Books

I'm sure anything I might possibly write here has been identified on stuffwhitepeoplelike.com ...sigh. I like films that come from across the pond, compact discs that come from the store, and truth be told, the most powerful book I ever read was Nineteen Eighty-Four.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I'm not giving this up online. You have to meet me in person to find out.
