ABOUT ME

My names Brooks and I sing in our band the Growlers. Four us live together in the Growler house and the fifth member spends most of his time at our home or at our near by studio.(one block from the house)If were not at hanging out and partying at the house were working at the studio surfing or taking "trips". Our band is a family thats always growing as we meet more cool new people and bands. I am the father of this band and I love my boys. They work hard doing all of our own art, recording and footwork. Our main goal is to effect as many people as we can with music laughter and love. Were in this for the long run and plan on changing the music scene completely by doing eveything by ourselves on our own terms. we do things differently.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about CS and thought that we could be the super members because we offer a lot more then a couch. We offer an experience. My guys are extremely personable and stoked all the time. Any one that comes into our life get a the full experience. Well take you to our gig and after party and wake you up with a beer and an omelet. then well go surf at a beach weve grown up at and introduce you to our tribe of friends. If were not playing gigs we like to go and watch other bands or have a bomb fire or kickback and write songs. The thing is were non stop working on this band around the clock so any excuse to get loose is more then welcomed. This is our best excuse. we welcome any one to join our tribe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just recently we had a party after a show we played when some random kid heard the word and jumped into our friends car. She had no idea who this guy was but figured he knew us. When he woke up on our couch in the morning hugging a wine bottle we asked him how he got here and who he knew. He said he knew no one and just wanted to party. We hung out with him threw the course of the day during our music video shoot and he ended up being a great guy on the couch. His names garret and he told us he knew how to play trumpet. Now he plays with us at shows and checks in here and there when he can borrow someones phone. Hes a homeless scrapper drunk nomad. HEs RAD!
