ABOUT ME

I believe that it is important to follow your heart, dreams and passion.

I graduated from college and went straight to work and worked in NYC for 8.5 years. I was a bit of a workaholic, I only took one vacation. My first trip aboard was in 2006. I fell in love with traveling, but put off traveling more for two years because I got a promotion. None thing like more money to change your focus.

Then suddenly last year my father passed away at the age of 59. This event caused me to refocus and gave my the encouragement to start living my passion of traveling. I chose to resign from my much loved job and to travel and experience the world.

I have a traveling partner. My friend's name is Danuta, she is from Melbourne, Australia. She is in her early 30's and is friendly and easy going. She is great to travel with and she has already traveled to over 40 countries. When at home she works in the Interior Design Industry. She can speak English,Latvian, Russian and she is currently learning how to speak Spanish.

She is passionate about meeting new people, making new friends, traveling, arts and design and different cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I love people and I have meet many beautiful people and my travels. I love to meet and hear others people's life stories. I find it so fascinating how two individuals can be on different paths in life and meet at the same time and place and can share something (an experience, a story, a coffee) with each other that changes both parties life forever. Even if the change is not noticed at that moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have not had any couch surfing experience except meeting people while traveling and them telling me that they have great experience. Which explains why, I do not have any friends on couch surfing, but I figure I have to start some where.

At the moment I am traveling in the South of France with my friend Danuta and we are looking forward to experience CouchSurfing for the first time together.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Skydiving, because I was afraid of heights now I am not and I feel like I can do anything when I compare to having the courage to actual jump out of a plane. It is an amazing experience,you feel free as a bird (after the free fall) I recommend that everyone do it!!
