We are a couple backpacking our way too Australia from London. We are both Maori (indigenous New Zealanders) and were born and raised in small town New Zealand. We have been living and working in London for the last 2 years and are backpacking our way home (hopefully). We are massive food and COFFEE lovers, love the outdoors (hiking & camping etc) and love meeting new people. We're pretty chilled about everything and prefer a much quieter travel experience looking for more cultural outdoors experiences over big city party trips. We are quite happy just exploring a small town, local market or hiking a local trail. We travel without expectation and with an open mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are hoping to spend our travels learning from people living in the places we visit. Seeing the more unique places similar to what we think we would share about our home with others. Our best trips to date have been staying with new freinds experiencing their day to day lives.

We love to cook too so, if you cook, we would love to join in and learn your favourite dish.

We also have a tight budget lol.

Music, Movies, and Books

Very eccentric tastes in these things. Obviously love adventure movies and books but a good action or drama is awesome too. Massive Disney fans also. Music is more about mood for us. Love some reggae or pop for getting up feeling good. Some soul or country for chilling or some hip hop and R&B occasionally. Can't beat old school, frank, Sam, Nat, Ray, billion. All great sounds. Also love hearing music of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our native culture. From ancient story's too the Haka. We also cook, tho our native dishes may be hard to make in a foreign place.
