About Me

I am a recent university graduate taking on the big wide world! I'm in New Zealand to trek the Te Araora... aka the length of New Zealand from the tip of the north to the tip of the south! Super excited to meet some local people and get a genuine, authentic taste of New Zealand and kiwis

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet locals and experience real culture! Hostels can be vapid but I love the idea of couch surfing!

Interests

I run my own fair trade cafe in my spare time back in England. Hopefully I can share some cooking tips and learn some too!

Even though I'm young, I've travelled a lot and think I'm quite mature. I like travelling to see stunning natural beauty and authentic culture. I'm not interested in just doing a bar crawl in every city and ticking it off a list.

Music, Movies, and Books

Three of my loves! My taste is constantly changing but recently I've been listening to a lot of jazz and funk, psychedelia and some electronic music. But I'm sure that's likely to develop by the time you meet me!

I'm constantly reading, especially when travelling. Recently I've been reading a lot of kafka, Herman hesse.

My ultimate movie franchise is lord of the rings... One of the main factors in making me want to visit NZ! Otherwise I love art house and write some film reviews in my spare time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently trekked to Everest Base Camp and got to see the himalaya in all their glory. It was glorious!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and share music and food. I can tell stories of England... I'm a real London lad so know all the ins and outs of my country!

I love playing guitar and think music is such an amazing way to communicate with someone. Hopefully if you're musical we can have a jam!

And in the kitchen I love to learn, teach and cook (!) The cafe I have been running for the last two years cooks only vegan sustainable food so I've had to learn to be inventive. Incorporating local food is an exciting new challenge !
