About Me

To become Indiana Jones (and to travel as much as I can)

Cinephile, night owl, poetic, philosophic, insolent, wild, impulsive, young, old, ironic, different, indifferent, comic, big, tiny, unusual, surprising, woman.

I can't update this every time I change my philosophy (which means, every week or so) ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm still a newbie here!

None so far. As I said above - I'm a newbie.

I adore movies, theater, taking photographs, walking, doing the most unusual things, going out at night and only coming back when it's already full daylight and the hangover is starting to kick in, talking about serious and silly stuff, meeting people who are nothing like me (and people who are, also), dancing to 50's and 60's music...oh, so many things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: pretty much anything from 1895 to late 50's, early 60's. I especially love Film Noir, German films from practically all eras, the "big trilogies/series" (Star Wars, Back to the Future and Indiana Jones - the 4th one doesn't count). Basically, I'm into everything that's good and doesn't make your brain melt. Except for old B movies, which are brilliant.

Music: mostly jazz, classic rock, 50's rock, soundtracks (especially from Westerns!), chanson, classical and my "guilty" pleasure: German cabaret songs from the 20's/30's. Some of my favourite artists: The Doors, Ute Lemper, The Cramps, Ástor Piazzolla, Richard Wagner, Thelonious Monk, Patti Smith, Pink Floyd, Chuck Berry, Ella Fitzgerald...

Books: pulp fictions/noir novels. And great authors like Ernest Hemingway, Hermann Hesse, Virginia Woolfe, Marguerite Duras, etc. I also read lots of plays, so expect to find in my collection some Tennessee Williams, Shakespeare, Brecht, Edward Albee, Sarah Kane, Chekhov, among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen some of the world and I'm always amazed to see how everyone is SO alike and still, so different.

Besides that, some specific stories that I'll probably share some hours into a conversation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can somewhat play the piano and the accordion. I have some knowledge about film, theater and history.

I would love to learn to skateboard and maybe even play the bandoneon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bahamas, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Jordan, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
