ABOUT ME

I am a true mongrol - Half English, half Cuban, born in Switzerland, raised in Tokyo, educated in England and am currently a student in the US - I have dual nationalities of US and UK, even though I had never lived in America until this year. As you can tell, I have spent most of my life traveling and so simply can't stay still. Any chance I get to get away and meet new people I will take.

PHILOSOPHY

I can't believe I am quoting Ashton Kutcher (possibly the only intelligent thing he has ever said) - "Always be happy, never be satisfied!" Never get involved too deeply in anything (fanaticism of any kind is dangerous), keep your mind open to as much as you can, don't always look for the answer... simply take enjoyment in the questions themselves. Always take care of yourself (never be dependent), realise that nothing is objective (even science). Enjoy the simple things in life - bigger IS NOT better. Less is often more than you think.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nearly in Istanbul - we got so close, but realised the person didnt really understand English, and so got confused as to which train station to meet her - it basically fell apart.

Interests

Getting lost in foreign countries and meeting random people anywhere at any time - being out of my comfort zone, challenges, traveling, cooking, rugby, playing guitar, trying new things, chilling and chatting, pubbing/clubbing, anything really, understanding different perspectives and philosophies on life (I am all about listening and being educated - expand my mind!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked for a month in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey - slept on the roof of hostels and restaurants, got lost in random cities, deserts, and oasis's, and met the most incredible and random people while doing it.
