I'm calm, kind, weird, honest. I am very open-minded. I love to laugh, dance, make music. I'm very adventurous, and curious about everything! I like being around people who are true to themselves... Authenticity and Integrity are attributes I greatly value.
I'm a recent graduate with a BA in Sustainability and Social Ecology and another in Outdoor Education. I've been nomadic since September, and have been participating in various conferences, workshops, and gatherings... getting a feel for what's going on in the world and how to live into my purpose. I've been blessed to spend time with all these different communities of Scientists, Psychologists, Healers, Indigenous Storytellers, Entrepreneurs, Monastics, Farmers, Activists, Artists... and though at times they seem to be (or are) speaking entirely different languages- their underlying hopes, needs and fears are so much the same. Over and Over I find myself in circles of concerned global citizens; people who want to hear and be heard, see and be seen, connect, empathize, humble down and listen up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started using Couchsurfing when I was traveling abroad for over a year as part of a passion project to learn about sustainable and communal lifestyles. I was staying in Ecovillages, Permaculture Farms, and even an occasional anarchist squat, ashram, or monastery. I'm passionate about Interconnection, and living with an ecological consciousness. I like to move slow... for me the best thing about traveling is relating with people, and trading perspectives, skills, laughter, and memories.
I'm crazy about music and play some guitar and piano. Cerebral Experiences. Concerts. I like cooking and love eating. Good conversation, Outdoor adventuring, Creative endeavors. The Strange and Spontaneous is where I feel at home.
Nutrition. Ethics. Ecology. Holistic Perspectives. Sexuality. Breathing. Truth-seekers. Lovers of the Small Things in life. Romance. Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Altered States. Dancing. Ecstatic Experience. Transcendence. Freedom.
I meditate, and am always drawn to people and practices devoted to living with presence and ease.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I became ordained in a monastery in Burma for a short time. The same week sectarian violence between Buddhist and Muslim populations broke out in a town nearby. I went to the town with a caravan full of interfaith peace-makers, activists, and scholars. We visited some of the Muslim victims in a government hospital. At first they were surprised to see me, but then they smiled and thanked me. They were grateful that a white monk from halfway around the world cared enough to come offer a hand and wish them the best.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to do a Greek dance, or to relax in a hammock, or meditate on a hill.
I want to learn that which most inspires you. Teach me your song, story, and passion.
