I've only couchsurfed on friends couches so far and its been ok, some have been uncomfortable and some have been brilliant. Adding beer usually helps

I like history and try to mix that into my travels.I usually walk a lot while I'm traveling.
I read regularly, and I am fairly up to date with the news. I like documentaries on history and science.

Music, Movies, and Books

Bill Bryson is good, I like Clive Cussler specifically the Dirk Pitt Pitt novels and all the James Bond films are great.
I like a lot of music, and have been lucky to be exposed to a lot of different types of music because of the internet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've visited Amsterdam a fair few times,gone to Edinburgh,Cardiff and London, been through France,Germany, Belgium,Poland and Spain and visited Spain, France, Holland,Poland,Belgium and Romania. In my international travels I have been to the Dominican republic and Cyprus.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have quite a lot of general knowledge, some of it is useless trivia but there are other things i find interesting personally such as history, which i often try to include in my travels.
At the moment I'm doing a slow self study of our society here in the west and by traveling i hope to pick up good ideas to bring back, better ways of doing things for example.

I am also deeply interested in the spread of evil and it's effects on society, and so part of my travel involves visiting places that are historical scars of humanity
