ABOUT ME

I love music, and I love living in new places. I'm absurdly friendly. I can get along with just about anybody, and I'm certainly willing to try no matter who you are. I'm taking time away from school in Portland to work in the Boston area. I'm a computer programmer working in bioinformatics.

I'm fascinated by science, mathematics, and life in general. I've been known to be a bit overeager to jump into ridiculously abstract philosophical discussions after the second glass of wine - be warned.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Personally, none! My best friend at school was a couchsurfing host, and I met a few people who stayed with her. They were all such interesting people, and I'm curious to see what it's like from the perspective of a 'surfer.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Portland totally alone, and then a few years later, I did the same thing moving to Boston. It might not be a big deal to anyone else, but I think there's nothing like being somewhere I've never been, and just jumping in without a clue what's going on.

I can't think of anything actually "amazing" right now, so I'll just leave it for now and come back to it eventually.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been playing the guitar and writing music for a long time. I love to share skills in music, especially since I have so much to learn.

I'm a computer programmer interested in mathematics and biology. I'd be glad to teach or learn something in that area as well.
