About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling with different groups of people in a new way making use of the travelers' creativity, widening people's knowledge and views, and bringing people together

ABOUT ME

I like to develop and undertake new things with other people. I'm interested, open, adventurous, and have a good sense of humour. I can inspire people by vision, creativity, and cooperation. My dream is to develop a new way of traveling that uses people's own creativity, widens their knowledge and views, inspires them to take new initiatives and new forms of cooperation and brings people closer together through all of europe. I live together with my girlfriend in Dordrecht, I read a lot and go to the movies regularly. I love to travel. As a small boy I already was fond of maps and books about far away countries. I drawed Africa and Thailand and went there when Ik had grown up. At home and on vacation I always liked to look for the borders of the world around me to discover it. Later I stayed doing so starting to prepare, organise and make all kind of trips to all kind of destionations in Europe, Asia and Africa. I like to meet different open minded people and I like to receive and show people around, learning to know eachother and from eachother and do some fun and interesting things together: walking, climbing, cycling, canoing, sightseeing, theater, cooking, film, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Living in a spiritual sense of selfness and togetherness. Thinking and doing in possibilities in stead of problems. Enjoying life by giving and receiving, making the best of it here and now for myself and others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy to offer our couch and guests' bed to friendly, open minded and curious people. For myself and groups I travel with (on an idealistic non-commercial basis) it's inspiring to enjoy the hospitality and local knowledge of all kinds of couchsurfers throughout the world. I'd like to make myself useful as a volunteer for the couchsurfing network to let it grow and flourish even more.
