My current mission is to take two of my plays to the New York Fringe Festival in 2013

ABOUT ME

I'm kinda passionate, kinda wild and a bit of a free spirit when I get the chance. I love meeting people, having adventures, and exploring this amazing globe. I'm a typical Gemini, social, communicative, interested in many things, restless and curious. I love people who walk the road less travelled and operate within margins; artists, travellers, the GLBT community, and indigenous people from all walks of life. I'm a playwright and an actress, single mother with two kids I'm passionate about theatre, literature and humanity in general. I'm leaving for San Fran and New York in a week and can't wait!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted four couch surfers now and really enjoyed it. They were all interesting fun people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a lot of fun with four surfers so far. However I let two of them stay for several months and ended up feeling a bit used when they moved out without cleaning up properly and didn't really fulfill their promise to help me with an hour of work around the house a day. They were great guys and we had a lot of laughs, but ultimately I felt like they needed to reciprocate a bit more. I guess it's probably best to just let people stay for a short time so I don't feel as though I've been taken advantage of.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The labyrinthian city of Fez in Morocco left me awestruck. It was a mystic and wondrous place; winding narrow allies so narrow you had to flatten yourself against a wall when a donkey and cart passed by.

The birth of my first child; he was such a wondrous, pure, angelic soul we all tiptoed around him in a trance.

Putting on one of my plays at the Perth Fringe Festival and having it sell out; sitting there night after night thrilled as my actors cut loose on stage and the audience laughed and cried.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn Spanish! And Italian! How to play a guitar, how to cook paella, how to wind surf, play basketball, fly a plane, go sky diving, apply gothic makeup, and how to straighten my hair.

I can teach English, creative writing, massage, how to make a great guacamole, how to produce a play, how to cook ossobucco, how to be fearless and safe at the same time.

I love to share my passion for literature and give away books from my library. I really love passing on books that have rocked my world.
