California native, ocean lover, but totally in love with NYC and the East coast. Moving to NYC in April 2016 to start a new adventure and life, and I couldn't be more ecstatic. I've been dreaming of this for half of my life! I'm a singer and music and singing are my greatest passions. I'm thoughtful, considerate, respectful, open-minded, kind, and fun. I love to meet and connect with new people and to help others. I work in restaurants when I'm not singing :)

Interests

Besides singing/music, some of the things that make me happy most in life are the ocean/beach and anything to do with the sea, and reading, writing, and poetry. I also love taking photos, good coffee & espresso, sunsets, autumn, cats, fashion & makeup, traveling, power walks, spin class, word & card games, and talking and learning about spirituality, philosophy, science, and New Age-type subjects. I'm very passionate about women's studies, feminism, and GLBT culture. I'm open-minded and always trying to learn more and grow spiritually and mentally.

Music, Movies, and Books

* I'm a total music junkie, so my favorite music spans many pages, but some of my all-time favorites are Tori Amos, Kelly Clarkson, Tina Dico, David Bowie, The Indigo Girls, Cowboy Junkies, The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Adele, Joni Mitchell, and Pink.

* My favorite moves are When Harry Met Sally, American Beauty, Labyrinth, But I'm a Cheerleader!, Secretary, Begin Again, Love Actually, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

* The X-Files is my favorite show of all time, since I was 16. I've met the cast and creators and writers several times, and I've met all kinds of cool people and lifelong friends through the fandom. It's very special to me!

* I've been a complete bookworm since age 3, and I love to read pretty much anything--I'm a big poetry fanatic, too. Some of my favorite writers are Rilke, Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Shirley Jackson, Anne Sexton, Pablo Neruda, Rumi, and Shakespeare.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lost 50 pounds through diet and exercise and have kept almost all of it off for 5 years. The only reason I gained a little back was because of some health problems, but I'm working on it. I'll never go back to my former unhealthy, miserable lifestyle. I love eating healthy and working out, and I feel like such a different person, physically and mentally!
