Find out where in the world I want to live
I'm from Estonia, but i've been living between Asia and Europe for a while now, this year i've been living and studying in Taipei, before that I was living in China, i've also traveled around South-East Asia and Europe. These experiences have been extremely rewarding for me and changed my life in so many ways!
Other than traveling i'm also passionate about art and vegan cooking (I just get soooo excited about vegan cake you wouldn't believe), I love reading books, doing yoga and meditation. I also love just meeting new people and making new friends, there's almost nothing better than sharing a good meal and conversation with friends.
My personal philosophy is still (or should I say, always) in the state of forming itself, I argue with myself a lot on all sorts of different questions, but i really like buddhist, especially zen and daoist philosophy.
I believe in one thing - that violence of any kind is useless and unnecessary, and I try to realize that belief in my life. (by being vegan and also all other ways I can think of)
I also believe that we create this world that we live in with our thoughts, so I try to be my own best friend and create a world that I would feel happy living in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed peoples couches and people have surfed my couch and it's all great.
I have met some amazingly kind and patient people.
Art, yoga, meditation, traveling, Asian culture, cooking (vegan)
Music, Movies, and Books
At the moment I'm thinking of: Biutiful, A Clokcwork orange, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Suzhou River. I love Chinese/Taiwanese cinema!
I really like Indian English literature, for example "Midnight´s children," "The God of Small Things," "Inheritance of Loss." Also Murakami.
I used to only listen to indie rock/folk type of things, lately I've gotten into techno more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My hitchhiking trips to Europe were really amazing, and also living in China was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Estonian, if you're interested, or maybe Chinese as well if you are more of a beginner. I can also just share my insights about living and traveling in China and Taiwan.
I'd like to learn any skill that's new and exciting, although I can't think of a particular one at the moment.
