To create a world of richness, joy and deep meaning, by acting in pure intent, with awareness of self and others in service beyond myself.
I love to stretch my horizons and meet new people from different cultures. I really like doing kinda crazy and adventurous things in new places. I get bored if I don't learn something new or improve myself in some way. I am involved with running personal improvement courses helping men discover their true selves and being the best they can be, which is really great in helping me learn about myself too.
The world inspires me, the landscape, the wildlife (big time) and the people. I love to travel and get out of the 9 to 5 of life. I'm up for anything that I've not done before, is edgy or adventurous.
I am a single dad with three kids that are great fun and very active and curious. I enjoy doing things with them and watching them grow and mature into young people (they're 12, 11 and 10). Helping them to become responsible, caring people is a real challenge that I constantly work at - it's very rewarding and I love them above all else.
Be the best I can be for those close to me and how how I can impact the world. Be genuine, authentic and centred.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting some great people...
I love the outdoors and doing exercise in this beautiful city of Perth where I live. I ride my bike around my neighbourhood, walk to the shops and in summer love the water and boating. I have three kids so I get them out into the great outdoors camping, riding and kicking the footy at the local school oval. I am now getting into some body building to balance the long hours of office work.
I also am involved with a great network of men that share a common desire to better themselves, live lives of integrity, and seek to connect with people important to them. They are a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me to live a full and rewarding life, focusing on authenticity and creating fulfilling relationships.
I also love technology and using it to enhance my life. I love my iPad and iPhone and do a bit of database programming at work. I've built a couple of apps for business.
I also like to read about people and what makes them tick. I like to see what inspires and motivates people to achieve great things in their lives, even if it's just a vegie garden to grow their own food or learn to 'be'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow, this is a hard one...I think the birth of my kids would have to be right up there. I have also gotten a great buzz from the many adventure sports I've done - windsurfing is a great feeling flying along the water at high speed, rock climbing and abseiling is amazing and scuba diving on some great reefs with sharks and amazing sea creatures was awesome too. Bungi jumping into the Zambezi was amazing !
Recently trekked to the summit of mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with an awesome bunch of people and visited a few game parks, I love Africa !
Teach, Learn, Share
I do 'men's work', that means what it is to be man in today's modern world where family life is very different to what it was centuries ago. We no longer practice male initiations so how do boys know what it is to be a man these days?
I want to learn from other cultures and understand different perspectives on life, love and the mysteries of the universe ! So be prepared to give me your perspective, I want to hear your story -:)
