About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing my studies successfully and still getting to travel every once in a while.

ABOUT ME

"completely tame and caring big bear, who is always helpful and quite down-to-earth" is how one of my friends described me...^^
Another friend of mine called me a "straightforward and helpful person"

I would describe myself as a rather calm person trying to make no enemies and to have fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel happy when I spend time with people I like and I feel happy if I can do another person a favour.
I like to laugh with others and to make others laugh.
If I don't know something and can't possibly find out the answer I don't loudly declare to belief, but accept my lack of knowledge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I rarely participate at all. I like to have couchsurfing as an option when traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with several hosts in Canada and had a great time. Most people on couchsurfing are quite relaxed and fun to be around.

Interests

As most people I really like spending some time with my friends. Sometimes we just sit together to talk, but more often we play FIFA indoors, soccer or basketball outdoors or watch a movie.
When I`m not with my friends I like to read a good book, listen to some music or watch Family Guy, HIMYM or The Big Bang Theory. Since I like the English language I prefer to read books in English and to watch series in English.
And of course I'm interested in geophysics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I`ve visited the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland with my Physics class and it was an amazing experience. The sensors that detect the emerging particles are huge and it must have been an unthinkable effort to build them. Furthermore there were large rooms stuffed with PCs only to evaluate all the incoming data which were quite impressive as well.

I've been on a roadtrip through parts of Canada and the US with some friends and for 3 weeks I got to know the US part of the rockies, the salt planes near Salt Lake City, the beach in L.A., San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, the Niagara Falls and last but not least the funny people you meet on Walmart parking lots...

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have a job so far so I can only teach some things I still know from school or from my studies. Apart from that I can shoot a bow and arrow and know how to sharpen knives.
I'm interested in many things and I'm always happy to learn something new. If someone knows for instance how to knit socks I would gladly try to learn it^^
