About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live my dream and give back to the world.

ABOUT ME

I most recently left my job on the Pride of America Cruise Ship in Hawaii. I directed all the operations of one of the bars from open to close from mojito tastings to managing the staff and all of the inventory. It was a dream job and I did really well. I rose to the top and even had the captain begging me to come back when I left. However, life's not all about money and conveniences so I decided it was time to move on.

Before I became a bartender my career after I graduated from UT Austin was as a Master Fitness Specialist/Boot-Camp instructor at an elite local fitness facility in Austin Texas. My entire life has been spent growing up in the good ol state of Texas and I am proud to call it home.

The majority of my youth was spent taking care of my mother and I held back from so many things in life because of that. Now that she is all taken care of its time for me to get out and explore so here I am, living out of my car and off of God's good graces. All I really want is to spend a day or two with anyone just to connect and see what your city has to offer. Any and all help is appreciated :)

Also, I am very spontaneous, free-spirited, easy-going, and severely independent. Contrary to how young I may look, I am a grown woman and have been taking care of myself for a very long time so please don't mistake me for your charity case. I really am just here to have fun! I love to sing, want to learn how to dance, love to be outdoors and am always looking to try something new!

PHILOSOPHY

I found this in one of Paulo Coelho's novels a while back, fell in love with it, and have been living with it in my heart ever since.

Ithaca

When you set out on your journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the angry Poseidon - do not fear them:
You will never find such as these on your path
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine
emotion touches your spirit and your body.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the fierce Poseidon you will never encounter,
if you do not carry them within your soul,
if your heart does not set them up before you.
Pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many, when,
with such pleasure, with such joy
you will enter ports for the first time;
stop at Phoenician markets,
and purchase fine merchandise,
mother-of-pearl and cora, amber and ebony,
and sensual perfumes of all kinds,
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
visit many Egyptian cities,
to learn and learn from scholars.
Always keep Ithaca on your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained along the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches.
Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would never have set out on the road.
She has nothing more to give you.
And if you find her poor, Ithaca has not deceived you.
Wise as you have become with so much experience,
you must already have understood what Ithacas mean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ultimately I am looking for a city to fall in love with . Through CS I believe that every individual I meet will teach me something. The hardest question in life I found at one point was asking myself what it is that I want out of life. Many times when I didn't know what it was that I wanted I at least found out what I didn't want that always brings me one step closer to whatever it is that I'm trying to find out there...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone I have met through here so far has been amazing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In an act of momentary stupidity and insane courage I ended up jumping into and swimming across the famous Bellagio Fountain. The water show wasn't going on when I first dived in but as soon as I reached the fountains the music started and BAM I was floating underneath man and nature's artistic masterpiece taking in its majesty and breathing in the serenity of the moon, stars, and air above me. Yes, I got in trouble for it but I walked away in one piece with a slap on the hand and my dignity in tact.

In Kona, Hawaii I swam with the wild dolphins and jumped off the End of the World Cliff.

My first time ice-skating happened underneath the moon and stars with just one other person. There was not another soul around and we had the whole lake/mountain to ourselves. It was truly magical.

I massaged my mother back to health. She and I are very close now and have a very happy and loving relationship. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for her.

I am a damn good Mixologist!

I could give you full head-to-to makeover.

Cool things to know:
My biological mother gave birth to me while in prison in the Philippines and gave me up for adoption. I truly am Blessed.

My father was in the Navy for 30+ years, met my mother and adopted my brother and myself in the Philippines. When they divorced my mother brought my brother and me to Texas where we have spent 20+ years. They still live there, I needed to move on.
