ABOUT ME

I always wanted to travel but it took me almost 10 years from the first thought till the first step into the adventurous world of different countries and cultures (at least the way I had in mind). The regular vaccations were always to short and after mostly two weeks it was time to get back to work.
That's why I took a gap year 2006, which I spent in Australia and now call one of the best of my life.
I also lived in Scotland and Hong Kong but spent most of my live in Switzerland where I still live at the moment.
I'm open minded,friends are very important to me, I like to cook, chat about whatever life has to offer, or just share a laugh over a hot chocolate and a good movie.

PHILOSOPHY

Do something you are not good at - live outside your comfort zone... and experience the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Wherever I go, whatever I do, I try to learn as much as possible and give my best.
I hope that through my own travel experience and the hospitality of others, I will be able to learn more about other cultures and and build a mutual understanding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up long ago but unfortunately haven't used it much as my travels have mostly been family visits or business related. I hope to get a change to embrace it more often and offer accommodation myself.

I lived in a car for about 9 months while travelling Australia. What an experience! I miss Cooper... my dear friend :-)

Insegna, impara, condividi

I am proud that I managed to get through a beginners class of Mandarin Chinese. However, my qualities of speaking and teaching rank rather poorly.
I am pretty good at baking cakes too, so if there's nothing in the fridge sunday morning, no problem: we'll have brownies then.
