About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do those things I have been dreaming of, and planning to do, since I can remember. To meet folk musicians, hippies, poets, artists and writers from all over the world. To share with them, learn with them (or from them).

ABOUT ME

21 years old, ready to get out, explore the world, gain experience and expand my knowledge of the world and it's people. I planned, very carefully, to work in a field that is easy to escape from when my heart so desires.
I love folk music... music, in general. Art, in general. Life, in general.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a typical Hippie. I believe that love conquers all, and that the best way to live your life is with love in your heart that you can and do extend to each and every person that comes in and out of your life, no matter the circumstance. I believe in doing good things for others, because you can not because you should. I believe that being positive and loving will in turn influence those around you to do the same, and will inevitably create a happier environment for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For a brief period of time I traveled with (and hopefully will, again) a band by the name of Limbeck. We were all welcomed in to the homes and hearts of people all over the west coast, from Portland to Long Beach. It is most definitely the best and most fun way to travel, and I would love to do it, again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies.) Wet Hot American Summer, Amelie, The Baxter, Garden State, Rushmore, Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums, Lost in Translation (really, anything directed by Wes Anderson and/or starring Bill Murray)... there's more in there, somewhere Im sure.

Music.) Incubus, Rilo Kiley, Neko Case, Limbeck, The Format, Phantom Planet, Jason Mraz, Cursive, Cat Power, M. Ward, Andrew Bird, Sublime ... Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, The Grateful Dead... this list could go on forever and ever. Trust me.

Books.) One Hundred Years of Solitude, Love in the Time of Cholera (anything by G. Marquez), Slaughter House Five (anything by K. Vonnegut), The Giver, Harry Potter

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a pretty good cook and I have little qualms with sharing this with others, as it is generally a very fun activity to do with anyone, no matter how much or little you know them. I also have quite a knack for solving little problems that no one else seems to be able to figure out... in sticky situations, I have proven to be quite a useful asset. Though, unfortunately, this is not a skill that can be taught. Haha.

I have a real passion and interest in crocheting and knitting. I would love to learn how to hone these skills and make something of use rather than doilies and blankets and such.
