About Me
I am travelling on a gap year through South and Central America before I go to study food science and nutrition next year.
I chose this part of the world so that I can improve my Spanish. I have started my big trip doing some volunteering in an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Costa Rica for 2 months, working with sick and injured animals, mostly birds, in order that they can be released.
My main passion is food! Making it, eating it, learning about it, preparing it, both sweet and savoury. I fundraised for part of the trip by making and selling cakes in my local area.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There's no better way to learn a language than to be fully integrated with people who speak the language fluently.
I'm looking to meet like minded people who have experiences and places to share that aren't just tourist hotspots, and where I can get a taste of local culture and cuisine!
