ABOUT ME

I recently graduated uni and came out to live on the beach on Vancouver Island. Current pursuits: 1) enjoying this beautiful island, 2) learning from people who are unlike me, and 3) growing the business I started while in uni.

I am a diehard opportunist, and I am convinced that there are nearly always win-win solutions to seemingly winner-take-all problems.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really make plans very far in advance, and I travel lightly so I can take advantage of any unusual opportunities that present themselves. Life is much easier, much more satisfying, and much more interesting when I stop trying to bend the world to my desires, and simply find desirable things in it.

Well, I set up an account last year and then promptly forgot about the site. I just remembered it this afternoon and decided to give it another whirl, so we'll see!

I am easily amazed. Most recently: an evening on the beach in Nanoose Bay with a copy of Pride and Prejudice. Beautiful sunset, fresh ocean air, great book -- things like this shouldn't exist in the world we see on CNN!
