About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to make the space in and around me happier! Small steps: singing while doing dishes, dancing while cleaning, laughing while writing, crying (tears of joy) while reading.

ABOUT ME

I am from Montreal originally and moved to Baltimore in August 2008 to continue my education. Leaving behind my family was difficult. Leaving my dog, Bruno, behind was even harder. We skype. It's ok.

PHILOSOPHY

Work hard, play hard.
Go big or go home.
Give a little to get a little.
One good turn deserves another.
A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the CS2 project, but am looking for ways to increase my visibility and participation. Suggestions welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a couch surfer in Washington, DC. We were both there for Inauguration, being hosted (or shown around) by a friend of mine and fellow couch-surfer. That experience in part inspired me to join CouchSurfing!

Interests

Many and varied.

Literature, theatre, film, music (of all kinds, but particularly rock, classic rock, indie and alternative, jazz, classical, funk), the visual arts, sports (watching them, or convining my friends/being convinced by my friends to play them in small, social gatherings), hikes, food!, drink, coffee, life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed Mont Ventoux, alone, (from Bedoin, in the south of France) in June, 2008. It took me five hours to reach the summit where I found myself in a massive hailstorm, and I had to make the way down by car (through the generosity and good will of strangers), but it was worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach surfers Italian or French. I'd love to improve my German and learn Catalàn.
