Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Seeing the Mona Lisa for the first time. I thought that it would be passe because one sees the image of it everywhere. But it so different being in its presence, the expression and beauty of the Mona Lisa was overpowering.

I never really liked the images that I had seen of Van Gogh paintings, before I went to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The instant I walked in Van Gogh became my favorite artist.

Watching people is so fun and interesting. My favorite experience was in Munich walking across a footbridge just barely wide enough for one line of people going either way. The point in the river where this bridge crossed was a favorite for nude sunbathing; there were all kinds of people, young and old, individuals, couples and even families. I was behind an old couple hobbling across the bridge with their canes. When we got to the middle of the bridge, the old man stopped and took out a camera and snapped a couple of pictures before moving on. I'm alwas surprised at what people do and say.
