Having fun, meeting nice people, gain experience
I am sometimes very communicative, sometimes very quiet, most of the time friendly and helpful and always straightforward. Important for me is tolerance and a positive thinking as well as to have goals in life.
Make the best out of any circumstances - see the funny side of any situation - take it easy (although I cannot do this everytime *smile*)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a guestroom to offer and want to travel.
I had my first guests from Couchsurfing and it was really a very nice experience. So I want to keep on making couchsurfing-experiences ;) apart from that I often host friends of mine - I was told a nice, easy-going host.
I am always interested in new experiences. For example I got a diver licence last year and would like to learn surfing or climbing next. I love to dance (ballroom) and read a good book. In my rare leisure time I usually make many sports (fitness center, running, swimming) and meet my friends. My aim is to run the Berlin Marathon - I hope that I will do in 2014 at the latest. My next plans are to learn more about photography and I want to learn Spanish.
- scuba diving
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Good books I read last: "Set This House in Order: A Romance of Souls" by Matt Ruff, "The Centenarian who climbed out the window and disappeared" by Jonas Jonasson (very funny!).
Music: I really love VNV Nation - this is my favourite band. But I also like songs from Covenant, Muse, The Killers, Culcha Candela, Seeed, Mr. Gentleman, Bob Marley, James Blunt, Karen Elson, Kirlian Camera, Lady Gaga, Lana del Rey, Manu Chao, Maroon 5, Missy Elliott, Moby, Paul Kalkbrenner, Pet Shop Boys, Pink, Peter Fox, Placebo, REM, Eurythmics, Rosenstolz, Sisters of Mercy and many others... I like a wide range of music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my studies I supported several selfhelp groups in Kenya by selling their fair traded handcrafts on my online shop. During on season there were a big drought and some of these groups suffered from hunger so we sent money so that they were able to buy food. Next time we visited them in Kenya all the group were singing and dancing for us - this was really a deeply touching moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I just started to learn Spanish - any support is welcome ;-) I can offer English and German
