Although a Michigan native, I've lived elsewhere in the Midwest: Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Chicago. The latter's cost of living dictated a migration northward: Gold Cost, East Lakeview, East Roger's Park. Back in my home town, I've settled down and in 2014, joined the ranks of fatherhood. Responsible & frugal living hasn't stifled my penchant for adventure (albiet occuirng more infrequently) My one weakness affords the occasional destination concert with my best friend, Rob. I work at 2 Lads Winery, on the Old Mission Peninsula, in northern Michigan. Employment at a winery has its benefits. Show me your couch and I'll show you a case of wine!

Misanthropes be damned! The Golden Rule is important in my family, its as simple as that. Knowing that genuine people exist out there, I gather, is the foundation of Couch Surfing.
