About Me

Quick poll suggests these top attributes if you were to google 'T Chapman description':

1. Chaotically organised
2. Big fan of sandwiches
3. Known to refer to himself in third person and objects in first person
4. "It'll be right"
i. (grimace) "that's not what I wanted to happen"
ii. "told you it'd be right"
5. Afortunado

There are more than two sides to a coin, it depends how you look at it.

Things seem to work out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To keep the "couch" in Couchsurfing. I like to meet different people, and reciprocity and sharing are important to me.

I've used Couchsurfing for a while now and enjoy meeting interesting and interested people. I understand that not everyone speaks English or Spanish, so SEND ME A REQUEST IN YOUR NATIVE LANGUAGE and I'll GoogleTranslate it. In your couch request TELL ME WHY YOU WOULD LIKE TO STAY WITH ME.

If you just ask for a place to stay I will just reply telling you where there are places to stay. If you send me a copy paste request, I'll send you a copy paste response.

Also to get a 99% CS response rate. At the moment it is so low I believe due to some bug, most likely when CSing made one of its [many] upgrades. I went from about a 98% response to 74% overnight, and discovered 60-odd unread emails which I had never received. Not to worry though, I'm sure The Team will provide us another update and change that.

I'm a vocal advocate of CSing to people I consider appropriate. I'm not sure if that is allowed under the EULA but no one reads those anyway, they just check the box "I Have Read This and Agree". I might be a good ambassador for CSing but not one of the serious ones with flags. I've not had much practice with flags.

Interests

Sports, culture, amateur philosophy (read: talking/discussing/debating anything from LA Lakers to language semantics), people appreciating my pool cleaning abilities in CS requests to restore my response %.

Music, Movies, and Books

Good movies. I don't care much for fantasy though.

The Bobs- Dylan and Marley, Vivaldi, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, INXS and a bit of the old Ludwig Van. Assorted contemporary when necessary.

Predominantly non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't mean to brag but I've got three:
1. Recovered our pool from the Algae Bloom of 20 o'10.
2. Refilled our pool after the disastrous Twenty11 draining.
3. Rejoiced in our pool after a successful and algal-free Winter 2012!!

Teach, Learn, Share

The only time you don't learn is if you choose not to.

I can teach you how to walk very proficiently along busy footpaths.

I've also got a little certificate somewhere that says I can teach English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A place to stay but unfortunately not too much time at the moment between working, sports and general things. Still try to catch the sunset and do a few things when we can.
