Overview
About Me
Just moved to Zurich🇨🇭 starting to work at a startup here!
After lot's of traveling, now I have a home base, and I wish to repay the endless kindness I receives from hosts and so many strangers while traveling.
But first, some things
1. Please read my profile carefully (especially the Part: Couchsurfing Experience), since I only accept personal requests. I know it's a lot of information, but who knows? I could be a serial killer and you wouldn't know, because you didn't read my profile. ;-)
2. Not looking for anything sexual, this is not why I'm on couchsurfing. Don't reach out for this reason.
3. A full profile is a must to request a stay!
A strong preference for verified profiles, safety first and it's much cheaper than a single night's stay anywhere in Europe.
4. A personal request is a must and must include, why you chose me as a host and what we can learn from each other. I ain't no place to stay, I am a friend you just haven't met yet. :)
ABOUT ME
Just moved to Zurich🇨🇭 starting to work at a startup here!
After lot's of traveling, now I have a home base, and I wish to repay the endless kindness I receives from hosts and so many strangers while traveling.
I’m Tomer, 26 Israeli from Tel Aviv solo traveling Asia for 1 year. Back home I'm a software engineer, thinking about founding my own startup.
I love traveling the world, getting to know cultures and real people from around the world.
Looking for having fun together, having open and deep conversations and maybe an adventure or two.
I am curious and naturally interested in most stuff!
I have a passion for Sciences, Technology, meditation, buddhism, entrepreneurship and this naive desire for changing the world!
PHILOSOPHY
Our mind is the key to our happiness. Transforming our mind through correct thinking, meditation and other thinking leads to happiness.
Every day, every year, every decade, live your life to the fullest according to how a meaningful life looks to you. Don't have an answer? Then start searching, that's an important question!
The worst life, is a life wasted, and at the end, on death's bed, realizing I have wasted my life, and having strong regrets.
I believe this leads to more meaningful, happier, fuller life.
And lots more :) I like philosophy, especially practical one. Studying Tibeten Buddhism, and practicing meditation and getting lot's of benefit from it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When hosting - While traveling I received so much kindness from strangers, I would love to repay it. Looking for meaningful interactions, beneficial to both sides.
When traveling - My favorite part about traveling is exploring, getting to know new people from all over and experiencing the place from local's perspective.
Some of my best friends I met when traveling! You are NEXT ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots of great, inspiring and funny experiences! And I would say 99% were super positive! I am always happy to host. But please read this first:
IMPORTANT: Couchsurfing is a community, it's learning from each other and exploring a new culture. So I expect from my guests:
1. Please, take your time and complete your profile. That makes it easier for me to feel happy hosting you. I am letting you into MY privacy, my house, my little kingdom so I expect you to make a little effort to tell me something about yourself.
2. I appreciate personal requests and no copy-paste stuff as I am not a hotel but a real person with a passion for couchsurfing.
3. Don't request for a stay longer than 3 nights (some few exceptions might be ok, but when you are looking for a place to stay for longer I advise you to use airbnb, booking.com or any other platform to find accommodation.
4. If it's your first time using couchsurfing please inform yourself first, what couchsurfing is about. It's not just free accommodation, it's making friends abroad and exchanging cultures and different points of view.
So please: Get some information into your profile and take your time writing a request. Otherwise don't even try. I will decline straight away.
If you read my profile, please send me the magic word India in your request.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed one month in a Buddhist monastery in Nepal, meditating and learning Buddhism. It was an amazing experience and absolutely mind blowing.
Quit my job, car and apartment and bought a one way ticket to india, for an unlimited time, with no strict plans, just went where life took me, and it was absolutely amazing.
I trekked the Himalyas in Nepal, traversing a mountain pass 5,400 meters high! Every day of this hike, was the most beautiful nature of my life.
