I'm a rock. Of all the things I have ever been called, a "weird rock" sums me up the best. I'm a rock since I am a very resilient person. I can handle almost every kind of situation and come out unscathed, a very nice trait to have when it comes to travelling.
I'm weird in that I actively seek out these experiences, and do things that other people find strange like riding around the country in a big-rig for weeks at a time, or making impulsive plans to go far away on a whim. My favorite travel-experiences include: Catching the Sunrise on Galveston Island, Spending one spring break in a hammock on a beach in South Carolina, barely escaping the Polar Vortex of '13 in a tractor-trailer headed South (I say barely because the brake lines froze up- long story), and accidentally running the toll on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Everyone has a story to tell. I want to make mine extensive and exciting. What will you include in yours?
Maps. I love maps and am obsessed with travelling to new places so that I can return home and put more pins in my "Been-to" map.
I also enjoy history! Especially anything related to military history, I am fascinated by the subject.
Music, Movies, and Books
There are a few movies I will always watch if they are on: Independence Day, Deep Impact, Hercules, and the Iron Giant. I know most of the lines to these movies as well.
Books: Anything by Stephen King, Jim Butcher, Harry Turtledove, or Asimov. And of course the Harry Potter series.
Music: My favorite artists are Eisley, Rilo Kiley, Metric, The Hush Sound, Gold Motel, and Imaginary Cities.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to Seattle on a whim and found myself in the middle of the world record attempt for the world's largest snowball fight. I fell in love with the city on that day
