About Me
ABOUT ME
At 43, I find myself in a pretty good place right. I'm single, gay, living alone in downtown Toronto. I have a corporate job in the financial district but that seems like a shell sometimes. I love the city but I crave the calm of water and being in the forest. There are few pleasures better than being on a kayak on a placid lake during a nice summer day. I can be comfortable being an introvert or an extrovert really. Making good connections with people all is a good thing I think. Something like couch surfing seems to be a nice way to meet new and interesting people and perhaps to even see the world. I also love staying home and hosting people at my place. Taking in a traveller who's got the same desire as me can be rewarding. It's good to help other people along and have fun along the way.
PHILOSOPHY
Grayling said, " "Love well, seek the good in all things, harm no others, think for yourself, take responsibility, respect nature, do your utmost, be informed, be kind, be courageous: at least, sincerely try." - Grayling.
That sums it up for me and what I believe in. It's something I don't find in a lot of people. I suppose I'm a humanist.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this group and haven't experienced either travelling or hosting but I'm eager to start. I have however taking in travellers who were exploring this part of the world. It happened all by happenstance and it was a rewarding experience for both of us.

Music, Movies, and Books
So many....I like nearly all movies, even bad ones because they invoke an emotion. I'm not as well read as I'd like to be but I enjoy a story that takes me right along.
