About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finish my doctorate and discover Europe (not necessarily in that order)
ABOUT ME
I am a third year grad student if for no other reason than to avoid the chastening of a 9-to-5. I have a vivid imagination so making people laugh has always come naturally. Realistically, I will always be a kid at heart. Appropriately, when I grow up I want to teach kids how to make learning more fun so they too can stay in school forever and avoid having to get real jobs. After all, I have a lot to show for my seven years of college. I’ll prove it to you.
Question: What are the first three words every host wants to hear from a prospective surfer?
Answer: "I’m a roboticist."
I rest my case.
PHILOSOPHY
I’m a bit of an adventurer or a dilettante at the very least. I figure life is short. I’d like to try as many things as possible before my time on earth is up. It just so happens that they were all out of survival safaris in the Australian outback so I had to settle for joining couchsurfing.org. At any rate, there are few things I enjoy more than exchanging ideas with an insightful and intelligent mind. Hi, my name is Anthony. I am here because meeting new people is one of my favorite things to do. How about you?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm embarking on a 15-day tour of Europe and I'm interested to see who's up for the ride. Night-owls and insomniacs welcome. I'll be changing peoples' lives 3 days at a time... 4 if you're lucky ;]
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I know a girl who has the busiest couch in Budapest. She convinced me to start surfing. We are both hoping I won't be kidnapped (this juicy brain is worth a lot of money...at least according to my college loans).
Interests
As a creative person I wear many hats: I’m an academic, an athlete, an intellectual, and an entrepreneur. I owe a lot of my personality to a prolific era of adolescent poetry writing. I suppose at the time that made me a bit of a closet romantic but as my mother always says, “People who live in glass houses shouldn't walk around naked.” So there.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reggae music and all types of jazz. For the imaginative mind, I recommend reading 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' (an old favorite). I just started 'The Sirens of Titan.' My favorite food is a dish of my own invention: Hawaiian rice with glazed chicken skewers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a full-scale amphibious hovercraft in high school. Shortly thereafter, I crashed into a tree.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm fascinated by the field of biomimetics, that is the study of nature-inspired technology. The biological world never cease to prove itself to be the archetype of engineering. Put into more artistic words:
"Creation is power incarantate, the living art of intelligence, her capacity to evolve being the evidence of wisdom in the infinity."
