ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm a trumpet player, composer and music teacher. I play with various bands in and around London, mostly in contemporary styles including jazz, pop, salsa, etc. I'm also a composer and write music for TV, film and theatre productions. Recently I've also bought a trombone and a euphonium, but am fairly bad at them at the moment!

I used to have a more regular job writing software - that was up in Aberdeen and Glasgow - but after a few years I got a bit restless and decided to follow what I really wanted to do, which was music. So I quit my job and went off to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

So now here I am, back in London - it's where I grew up, so it's nice to be very close to family again. Not as financially stable as I was when I worked in software, but glad to be doing what I want to do!

PHILOSOPHY

Atheist.. not very political... I can often not understand how some people feel so certain about things - whether in religion, politics...

At present, my living circumstances don't really allow me to have a guest sleep over, but I'd be happy to meet up and take a visitor to a few choice places in London. In the future, hopefully I'll also be able to provide a couch!
