ABOUT ME: i go by tori. i have horrible handwriting & i eat my food way too fast but i love animals & music is my life. my favorite genre is alt & indie but i'll listen to really anything. i also like to sing and dance, although i'm not very good. i'm currently a liberal arts major while i decide what i want to do with my life but i'm leaning towards elementary education, i absolutely love children, so if you decide to host for me and have children, i would love for them to show me around as well!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i'm on couchsurf because i want to travel as much as i possibly can on a young student's budget. i think that couchsurf gives so many people like me a chance to travel and also, it's like you get a built in tour guide:)

something unusual about me is that i say everything's my favorite all the time but really, something else always comes along.

artists: tegan & sara, misterwives, walk the moon, beyonce, the national, the decemberists, death cab, nicki minaj, sam smith, boyce avenue, the story so far, paramore, katy perry, shakira, the front bottoms & edm.

movies: all the harry potter and disney movies, the goonies, meet me in st. louis, soul surfer, anything with sandra bullock (she's my favorite actress), easy a, the conjuring, napolean dynamite, jurassic park, finding nemo.

books: one of the best book i ever read was the book thief. it's must read. also, i enjoy perks of being a wallflower, the fault in our stars, looking for alaska, the help, the lovely bones, of mice & men, the giving tree, oh, the places you will go, a light in the attic, the hunger games & of course, harry potter. always.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when i was 16, i went on a mission trip & it forever changed me. i met a young man about my age who had seen his parents killed and his best friend pushed down a well. and we prayed with him. & i also met a little girl whos mom completely neglected her and she had bed bugs all over her body. we prayed for her and took her for pizza. the most amazing thing were that these people were so filled with life, it made me realize no matter your circumstance, there's no room for negativity. i try to live as optimistically as i can.
