I began traveling when I was very young. Initially, it was because my family had to constantly be on the move because we could not afford where we lived, but as I grew older, I learned to love the movement in my life. After six years of stability in one place, my mind is going crazy, & I have decided to pursue my love for movement. One would say I have a wanderlust ;{P. Since childhood, my mother tells me, I have had a free spirit. My dream has always been to roam around & experience life & culture around the world.

It is also a major plus that through Couchsurfing, you can build relationships with people that you would not have otherwise encountered, & these relationships can be fantastically life- changing.

I have a passion for anything & everything. I love to write, sign, dance, act, paint, sculpt, help people, learn new things (especially cultural), etc. I can't fit into one category of person because so many things interest me. I'm neither punk nor bohemian, artsy nor scientific. But I am VEGAN, 20 years going strong & proud of it! I am an environmentalist. & I believe life is better with less materialistic junks to hold you down.

I do not have favorites of anything. I love all genres of books, movies, & music. However, if I had to choose, Classic Rock is definitely on a constant replay with me for music. Movies, I enjoy action the most. Spy movies are definitely the best. I also really have this obsession with travel and cooking shows. My favorite books up to now have got to be the Vampirate Series. I know they are kids books, but honestly, when I read them I feel so alive. It makes me want to be a pirate! & speaking of pirates, I absolutely love the Pirates of the Carribbean movies. & Johnny Depp is my husband, he just doesn't realize it yet.

The only thing that can come to mind is when I visited my family in Hawaii for a whole month. I went to a beach almost everyday & I got to experience the sunset at a beach almost every night. The best part of that vacation was snorkeling in Hanauma Bay and seeing Honu (sea turtles). I also really enjoyed waking up every morning & going into my grandparents backyard & dipping my feet into their koi fish pond & have all the fish come suck on your toes. It's the best.

I am a vegan and have been my whole life, so am constantly teaching how to translate recipes over to become vegan. I love, love, love food, so I always apprecite learning new recipes from other people. A goal in my life is to learn any martial arts in its country of origin with people who have been practicing for years upon years. I also really love Mom&Pop businesses, especially when they are willing to show me family traditions. Such as creating a homemade tofu, or harvesting grapes for wine.

I'm still pretty fresh to exploreing the world on my own, but I can share my past experiences. I love to be in the kitchen with people, exploring and teaching new recipes. I also really love to tell stories from my childhood. For example, when I lived in Mexico, every so often, on a Sunday my family and I would go walk around the fresh outdoor markets & by the end of the night we would either get fresh elotes, corn on the cob with yummy spices, of we would get freshly made helados, fruit ice creams.
